    Notes
    • Marriage record in Russian on LDS film 1197511, no. 18, p. 175; record photocopied. Both Karl and Helena signed their names.

Karl Muller came to the US at the age of 32 on 15 Feb 1909 aboard the SS Brandenburg out of Bremen on 1 Feb 1909. His home was shown to be Neu Swidre, Warshau, and his wife Helene was his nearest relative in Europe. He traveled in the company of Gustav Look of Swidre, Martin Pletz of Dembinki, Gustav Skrobski of Lebionka(?), Ludwig Wolff of Neu Swidre, and perhaps others. His destination was Jersey City NJ to visit a friend Edward Wauspack (almost certainly his cousin Edward Fausak), 180 Woolens(?) Street, Jersey City NJ (as was Ludwig Wolff). Karl was 5'7" tall, and showed his birthplace as Neu Swidre.

Karl's grandson Berthold Müller related in 2016 that Karl lived with his half brother Friedrich Müller and worked in a brewery in Lansing MI. He reportedly returned to Poland with enough money to buy one of the largest farms in Swidry.

Ludwig Müller said in 2001 that his grandfather Karl went to the US about 1925 to work for 4 years in Michigan with a Fausak family. At that time, Adolf Fausak was the only Fausak in Michigan, although Adele Fausak Lentz may have also been there by that time.
