    Notes
    • Birth date originally from K-H. Fausak. Later confirmed by Karl's birth registration in the Nowy Dwor records (no. 163, p. 159, LDS film 0,689,460). Father Johann's age is shown as 39 (therefore born in 1806) and mother Anna's age is shown as 30 (therefore born in 1815).

Karl and Louise are presumed to have moved from the Bledowo area to Neu Swidry, now in the northern outskirts of Warsaw. Most of their children and grandchildren were born in Neu-Swidry (Nowe Swidry). A best guess for the time of that move would be about 1880.

Karl's delayed certificate of death, dated 4 November 1942, shows his death date as 10 sep 1924 in New Swidry. It shows his parents as Johann Fausak and Ewa geb. Henke; Ewa Henke was his grandmother (the mother of Anna Redmann) and the certificate is therefore assumed to be in error. The same certificate also shows his wife as Anna Sonnenberg rather than Louisa Kolm. It is possible that he remarried at the age of 64 after the death of Louisa Kolm in 1909, but his living grandchildren are unaware of another marriage.

Karl's grave (along with Louisa Kelm Fausak, Herman Mueller, and Natalie Graff) in Tarchomin was visited and photographed by LF, HF, and LM in August 2001.
