    Notes
    • Richard Lincoln's marriage to Matilda Fausak is shown in St Matthew's Church records, Book VII, p. 522. He was 26 years old when married in 1918, and resided at 71 Sussex Street, Jersey City NJ. Witnesses at the wedding were Milton Anderson and Lydia Kretschmann.

The 1920 Federal census shows Richard at age 30 (*1890), wife Tillie and at 19 (*1901), and daughter Cora at age 4/12s; they were renting a home at 186 Rahway Avenue. Tillie's birthplace is shown as New Jersey. Tillie was not employed, and Richard is shown as an iron worker in a foundry.

The 1930 Federal census shows Richard (age 43, *1887), wife Mathilda (age 29), son Richard Jr. (age 6, *1924), daughter Cora (age illegible), daughter Anna (age 6, *1924), and daughter Marla (age 3, *1827) They lived in rental unit at 291 Avenue B, Bayonne City, Hudson Co NJ, for which they paid $43/month. Richard was born in Alabama, and Mathilda was born in Germany (contradicting the 1910 census?). All of the children were born in NJ. This record shows Mathilde arriving in the US in 1900, and that she was a naturalized citizen. Richard was an iron worker, and Mathilde was not employed.
